◷ AI re-crawl & review sync — in progress
Section 1

Executive Summary

We completed a full audit of citystardriving.ca, rebuilt the homepage structure for conversions and search engines, deployed the technical foundations that AI assistants read, and opened the pipeline that will surface your real review profile inside ChatGPT and other AI search tools.

The work falls into five phases. Phases 1–4 (audit, on-page SEO, technical backend, Google & Microsoft Ads optimization) are delivered. Phase 5 (AI search visibility) is deployed and in its verification window — AI platforms re-crawl on their own schedule, so this phase completes as their indexes refresh.

Homepage Audit — What We Found

Before changing anything, we audited the live homepage against Google Search Essentials, Core Web Vitals thresholds, ad-policy requirements, and AI-crawler readability. The highest-impact findings:

FindingImpact areaSeverityStatus
Three competing H1 headings inside the hero slider; hero text visually clipped on loadSEO + first impressionHighFixed
Lead-capture form positioned far below the fold (≈3,400px down the page)ConversionsHighFixed
No structured data — search engines and AI assistants had no machine-readable record of locations, courses, pricing, or reviewsSEO + AI searchHighFixed
260+ Google reviews invisible to ChatGPT — reviews exist only inside Google's closed ecosystem (detail in Section 6)AI searchHighIn progress
No llms.txt and no AI-crawler guidance; Bing Places listing not synchronized with current locations and packagesAI searchHighIn progress
Oversized hero images (PNG/JPEG, no WebP conversion, no lazy loading) slowing first paintSpeed / Core Web VitalsMediumFixed

Severity reflects estimated impact on lead volume and search/AI visibility. The full 23-point audit log is available on request.

Section 3

On-Page SEO Restructure Completed

Search engines and AI assistants read your page as an outline. The old homepage gave them three conflicting titles and a flat, decorative heading structure. The rebuilt page gives them one clear subject and a logical hierarchy that mirrors how students actually search.

Before — heading structure

  • 3 × H1 rotating in the slider ("The Fastest Way to Drive Smart…", "MTO Approved Driving School", "Driver License, G1, G2 & G-Direct")
  • Card titles and section labels using mixed H4/H2 out of order
  • No location keywords in any heading (Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough)
  • "What Are Clients Says" — grammar error in a trust-critical section
  • Page title and meta description unoptimized, no geo-modifiers

After — heading structure

  • Single H1: "MTO-Approved Driving School in Toronto & Etobicoke"
  • H2 per topic: BDE Courses & Pricing · Why Students Choose City Star · Student Reviews · About · Find Your Perfect Package · Book Your Lesson
  • H3 for each package (Basic $575 / Standard $735 / Premium $850) and each service card
  • Reviews heading now carries the proof: "Rated by 260+ Students on Google"
  • Rewritten title tag + meta description with service and city modifiers

Also delivered in this phase

Descriptive alt text on every image; internal links from each pricing card to its registration step; consistent MTO-accurate terminology sitewide ("MTO-Approved BDE Provider" — Ontario has no "DMV", and incorrect references were removed); the passing-rate claim harmonized to the single documented figure of 98% across the website, Google Ads, and Microsoft Ads to remove policy-review risk.

Section 4

Technical & Backend Upgrades Completed

The backend work targets Google's Core Web Vitals — the speed and stability metrics that directly influence rankings and ad Quality Score — plus the crawl infrastructure both search engines and AI bots depend on.

Google Ads & Microsoft Ads — Account Improvements Delivered under retainer

In parallel with the website work, both ad accounts were restructured so spend lands on a tighter audience and every ad now matches the rebuilt landing page word-for-word. That message match between ad and page is one of the strongest levers for Quality Score on Google and ad relevance on Microsoft — it lowers the price paid per click while improving position.

ImprovementWhat was donePlatformStatus
Campaign restructureCampaigns split by service and geography — G2 road test, G road test, and BDE course ad groups for Toronto, Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough — so each search sees an ad written for exactly that intent and areaGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Ad copy rewriteAll responsive search ads rewritten to mirror the new landing page headline, package pricing ($575 / $735 / $850) and MTO-Approved BDE positioningGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Policy-risk removalUnverifiable performance claims removed; passing-rate references harmonized to the single documented 98% figure across both accounts, eliminating disapproval and policy-review exposureGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Negative keywords & search-term cleanupWasted spend cut by excluding instructor job seekers, "free lessons", truck and motorcycle licensing, and out-of-area searches surfaced in the search-term reportsGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Ad assetsSitelinks (Pricing, Registration, Packages), call assets to 416-996-9395, location assets for both offices, and structured snippets for course typesGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Targeting & schedulingLocation targeting tightened to the actual service area; ad scheduling aligned with office hours (Mon–Sun, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM) so calls land when staff can answerGoogle + MicrosoftCompleted
Microsoft-specific tuningRestructured Google campaigns imported, then tuned for Bing's audience profile; UET tag deployed sitewide ready for conversion goalsMicrosoftCompleted
Conversion-based biddingForm-submit and click-to-call conversion events specified for both platforms; bidding switches from click-based to conversion-based once the form backend goes live (Section 8, items 1–2)Google + MicrosoftIn progress

The keystone still to land: conversion tracking (Section 8, items 1–2). Once form submissions and call clicks report into both platforms, bidding moves to conversion-based strategies and the accounts optimize toward enrolled students rather than clicks. This is also why this report quotes no lead-count projections — once tracking is live, the accounts report real enrollments and the numbers speak for themselves.

AI Search Visibility — Fixing "ChatGPT Says 0 Reviews"

You have 260+ Google reviews, yet ChatGPT reports zero. That is not an error on your profile — it is an architecture problem, and it is fixable.

Why it happens: your reviews live inside Google Business Profile, which is part of Google's closed ecosystem. OpenAI has no access to Google's review database. When someone asks ChatGPT about driving schools in Toronto, it answers from Bing's search index and from what its own crawler (OAI-SearchBot) can read on your website. Until now, neither of those sources contained a single review or rating for City Star — so ChatGPT truthfully reported what it could see: nothing.

The fix: we don't move your reviews — we make them visible through the channels AI assistants actually read. Five workstreams, shown below.

How ChatGPT will see City Star after this program

Data flow: sources AI assistants can and cannot read
Google Business Profile 260+ reviews · 4.9★ — source of truth Closed to OpenAI — no direct access ✕ blocked path (why ChatGPT showed 0) citystardriving.ca Schema.org data · on-site review wall llms.txt · crawlable HTML Bing Places + Bing index Claimed listing · synced locations & ratings What AI reads OAI-SearchBot crawl Bing search results Structured entity data ChatGPT answer "City Star Driving School Ltd." Timeline expectations, stated plainly: Google, Bing, and OpenAI refresh their indexes on their own schedules — typically weeks, not days, and outside any agency's control. Everything on our side is built; the remaining variable is re-crawl timing. We monitor crawler activity in the server logs and Bing Webmaster Tools weekly and will report the first confirmed OAI-SearchBot reads of the new pages.
