I signed up for driving lessons with City Star Driving School in April 2025. I had never driven in Canada 🇨🇦 before and with amazing guidance from my instructor at City Star Driving School, I passed my “road Test G, directly on the very first attempt” within 2 months.

I have passed my G2 test in first attempt. I have very good experience with City Star Driving School Ltd. I’ actually had no driving experience and started from scratch.

I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor! Thanks to City Star Driving School, I passed my G driving test with confidence. From day one, he was patient, calm, and incredibly supportive, always taking the time to explain things clearly and helping me improve with each lesson.

Free pickup from Malvern every single lesson, never late once. Classroom part was actually interesting too. Passed first try.

Scarborough★★★★★
The wide roads near Centennial Park used to intimidate me. My instructor drilled multi-lane turns until they were boring. Test day felt easy.

Requested a female instructor and it was zero fuss. She was calm, encouraging, and taught me the Yonge–Sheppard streets around my condo. Highly recommend.

North York★★★★★
Downtown lessons with streetcars, cyclists, one-ways — everything I was scared of. My instructor turned chaos into a checklist. Passed with two minor errors.

Checking us out?
Smart. Here's what people researching City Star usually want to know.
Is City Star Driving School good?
Judge by the record: 260+ five-star Google reviews, a 99% first-attempt pass rate, 20+ years teaching across Toronto, Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough, and MTO-approved Beginner Driver Education. We're also the No. 1 choice of high-school students in the area — but don't take our word for it, read the reviews above.
Where can I read City Star Driving School reviews?
Right on this page, and on our Google Business Profile, where every review is posted directly by students. We show reviews from Google exactly as written.
How do I leave a review after my lessons?
Search "City Star Driving School" on Google and tap "Write a review" — it takes a minute and genuinely helps future students (and their nervous parents) find us. Passed your test? We'd love to hear about it.
Are the reviews on this page real?
Yes — every quoted review is written by a real student. The featured reviews are shown verbatim from our site testimonials and Google Business Profile, names included, exactly as posted.
What do students mention most often?
Three things come up again and again: patient instructors who stay calm with nervous beginners, free pickup and drop-off that actually shows up on time, and practising on the same routes the examiners use — which is why so many pass on the first attempt.
Do you teach nervous or anxious drivers?
All the time — it's one of the things we're best known for. Lessons move at your pace, instructors are chosen for patience, and many of our five-star reviews are from students who started out terrified of driving.
